For Dimo Video Converter Ultimate for Mac:

Q1: Why doesn't my Apple TV recognize the converted file?

A1: If this happens, do the following to have a try.

1. Run the product to loaded your video to the application.
2. In the format tray, go to Apple Devices and mouse over Apple TV icon.
3. Click the Settings button, in the window that shows up, set Resolution to 720*480 and set Channel to 2 Channels stereo.

If it doesn't work, do these: Open iTunes, find the converted file and go to Advanced > Create an iPad or Apple TV version in the top menu bar. Then try again.

It the problem is still there, refer to this post that was discussed in Apple Discussion.

Q2: How to play the converted 3D mkv/avi/mp4/wmv files?

A2: There are 4 ways to playback these output 3D files:

1. PC + 3D video player software;

A compatible NVIDIA graphic card with the latest driver and 3D video players are required. We recommend NVIDA 3D Vision Video Player here and player at this page.

2. TV + 3D TV device;

Please make sure your TV support the transmission of 3D content, upgrade the firmware of set-top-box or change a superior replacement would be necessary. Also you need Red/Blue 3D glasses to watch 3D video.

3. 3D digital viewer (such as iPad which can playback avi, mkv, mp4... files only).

Getting 3D video playback on your iPad, you need to rip the original Blu-ray 3D disc by Dimo firstly, then sync the converted mkv/avi/mp4 files to your iPad. This will be the best popular way of Naked Eyes.

a. VR headsets

One advantage of VR headsets is that you can easily import and watch your own 3D movies in virtual cinema mode. For example, Samsung Gear VR is a mobile virtual reality device, which acts as the headset's display and processor.

Whenever you want to enter virtual reality, just take your Galaxy smartphone, slide it in the Gear VR, then put on your Gear VR, you are in there in the moment. With Dimo, you can rip Blu-ray, DVD and convert videos to Samsung Gear VR supported Side by Side 3D videos painlessly.

What's more, we are working on this feature for more special 3D devices, there are really much more surprise and benefits to look forward to.

What is Side by Side 3D?

In side-by-side 3D, a full 1080p or 720p frame consists of two halves on the left and right, with the entire frame for the left eye scaled down horizontally to fit the left-half of the frame, and the entire frame for the right eye scaled down horizontally to fit the right side of the frame. Thus, in the case of 720p content (resolution of 1280 x 720), each frame will actually consist of the horizontally scaled frame for the left eye with a resolution of 640 x 720 and adjacent to it, the corresponding frame for the right eye at the same 640×720 resolution.

When the 3D ready TV receives this side-by-side 3D signal, it splits each frame to extract the frame for each eye, and then rescales these individual frames to a full HD resolution using upscaling algorithms. It then displays these upscaled individual frames alternately in a frame-sequential manner that is in sync with your active shutter 3D glasses. To sum up, it is just a method to deliver 3D content and also provides an excellent 3D viewing Experience.

Q3: Failed to load iTunes files, why?

A3: iTunes uses Apple's DRM technology protect digital content (mainly purchased video) from using on other computers and devices, while our applications don't support DRM-protected iTunes M4V files currently. That's the reason why the video can't be imported. We are doing our best to improve the function of our products and hope it will support DRM protected video files in the future.

Q4: Failed to save changes while editing video, why?

A4: After you edited video by clicking Edit and in the video editing window you can choose Trim, don't forget to click the "Apply" button to save the changes.

You change will take effect only by converting to a video files. To do so, go to Profile list at bottom to choose an output format, and click the "Start" button to create a new video file with your changes. When complete, click the "Open Output Folder" button to play the video you've edited.
